Adam Sandler returns to the golf course in the first trailer for Happy Gilmore 2!
Netflix has released the first official trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, giving fans a sneak peek at what to expect from the highly anticipated sequel, nearly three decades after the original film.
Set to premiere on July 25, the film sees Adam Sandler return as the iconic Happy Gilmore. This time, however, it looks like he has put his golf clubs away. Something compels him to return to the golf course, with Virginia (Julie Bowen) reminding him, "We're not done with golf."
Alongside Sandler and Bowen, familiar faces from the 1996 film such as Ben Stiller, Christopher McDonald, and Dennis Dugan will be returning. A standout new addition to the cast is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, better known as Bad Bunny, who will play Happy’s caddie. The film also features John Daly, Sadie Sandler, Sunny Sandler, Conor Sherry, Ethan Cutkosky, Philip Fine Schneider, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Travis Kelce, Blake Clark, Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau, and Paige Spiranac.
The film is directed by Kyle Newachek (Workaholics), while Sandler and Tim Herlihy co-wrote the screenplay and co-produced it alongside Jack Giarraputo and Robert Simonds.
