Inside "Air Drake"
A Detailed Tour of the Reimagined $200M Sky Palace
The standard for airborne luxury has been redefined. Music mogul Drake has unveiled a breathtaking overhaul of his private Boeing 767, famously known as "Air Drake." This isn't just a simple refresh; the iconic aircraft, valued at over $200 million after customizations, has been completely transformed into a multi-room mansion in the sky, reflecting a new era of personal style.
Departing from its previous vintage look, which Drake himself described as "old and pink," the jet's vast interior now projects a sleek, futuristic ambiance. The entire cabin is bathed in a moody, fully-customizable purple ambient glow. The redesign focuses on creating distinct zones for work, relaxation, and entertainment. The aircraft, which could commercially carry over 200 passengers, is now intimately configured for only 30 to 45 guests, prioritizing sprawling space and ultimate comfort.
The main lounge has been updated with opulent yet playful details, including plush faux-fur seating and custom-designed pillows to ensure maximum comfort. Beyond the lounge, the jet boasts multiple private living areas and a full master bedroom complete with a king-size bed. For in-flight business or creative sessions, there is a dedicated business lounge.
Perhaps the most unique additions are the new entertainment hubs. A state-of-the-art cinema room has been installed, offering a private movie theater experience at 40,000 feet. Catering to another of the artist's passions, a custom gambling area has also been integrated, centered around a bespoke poker table branded by Stake. Even the bathrooms feature personalized touches, with towels stitched with Drake's initial.
While the cabin's inner sanctum is brand new, the celebrated exterior remains untouched. The iconic sky-blue and cloud-patterned livery, a masterpiece conceived by the late visionary designer Virgil Abloh, continues to wrap the fuselage. This flying work of art also retains its distinctive OVO owl on the tail and a cheeky message on its belly that reads, "IF YOU'RE READING THIS WE LEFT," a nod to his 2015 mixtape.
Originally acquired through a strategic partnership with Canadian cargo airline Cargojet, this latest chapter for "Air Drake" elevates it from a mere private jet to a true testament to bespoke luxury and personal expression.
